Never Forgotten
This evening is the 13th anniversary of my son Christopher’s, age 17, auto accident in Gwinnett County caused by a careless 16 year old driving on a rainy early evening.
This time of year has been extremely difficult since those Days in 1999 for our family and friends of Christopher.
Christopher transitioned from our lives at 4:30pm the next Day on December 22, 1999. Since that Day our lives have truly changed. We entered into what I call a new Normal. If you have lost a child you understand what I mean. We all miss him everyday.
We had his visitation on Christmas Eve and we held his funeral the Day after Christmas. Burying your child the day after Christmas is not something any parent should ever have to do in their life, not to mention doing it at any other time.
You can read from this post why this time of year is always so difficult for our family and friends and for anyone who has lost a child of any age.
His transition has caused me to write more poetry/prose and other works and I have also started a website for anyone to remember their loved one. This site can be found at www.neverforgottencards.com.
He also has a site that I have done that is just about him. www.chrispatterson.org.
Check them both out and write me back any comments or questions using the comment section of each site. Check out my other sites you will find listed as well.
