RULE – Realize that true happiness lies within you. Waste no time and effort searching for peace and contentment and joy in the world outside. Remember that there is no happiness in having or in getting, but only in giving. Reach out. Share. Smile. Hug. Happiness is a perfume you cannot pour on others without getting a few drops on yourself.

Do you believe Aristotle when he said, “Happiness is the meaning and purpose of life, the whole aim and end of human existence”?

I know some of my friends would say he has it all wrong while others would say he has it spot on.

Lots of us assume that if we had great wealth or power we would certainly be happy. Just look around you and you will see that this is not true.

So, where do you find happiness? If the ingredients of happiness are not within you no material success can make you smile.

Another one of my favorite quotes by Thoreau, “I am convinced, from experience, that to maintain oneself on this earth is not a hardship but a pastime, if we will live simply and wisely. Most of the luxuries, and many of the so-called comforts of life, are not only dispensable, but positive hindrances to the elevation of mankind.”

If you get to the end of this 30 Day List Building Challenge and you are not happy with your results what will you think? What will you do? The Choice is up to you.  Happiness is only a by-product of how you treat your fellow man.

The time to be happy is NOW!  The place to be happy is here and now. There never was, nor will there ever be, a better way to live.

So as the 17 Rules come to an end today, where you go from here on the Challenge is up to you. So, if you or I don’t make our goal what will happen?  Certainly not the end of the world. I know I will just continue to build my list and start other projects to build lists and so on.

Remember, NEVERFORGET that you are not alone in this world unless you allow yourself to be that way. I don’t want to be Forgotten and I think most everybody else may fell that way as well.
