Lots of people make all types of predictions. People have been predicting since over 2000 years ago that Jesus is coming back on a certain Day and so far everyone has been wrong. Nothing is more embarrassing than telling the World something big and specific is going to happen and when it does not you are standing there looking really stupid.
Politics is one of those areas where everyone makes predictions. Most say it is based on the past or some polls or several polls. Information is as only as good as your source.
Predicting the future, especially when it concerns politics can be a humbling thing. You can be way right or way wrong. Predicting the out come of a particular race can be taught with problems depending on where and how you are getting your information.
Coming from a past where my work was processing large amounts of data for political calls all over the Country I know a little bit about the results of all of those calls because I also produced reports from all of those calls. Data from a poll is only as good as the question or questions asked of those people contacted.
You can skew the outcome of a poll based on how you ask the questions. Remember words mean things and you can take a question and phrase it so that you get the results you want.
So what have I learned? That predicting the future is a difficult thing but we will continue to do it because that gives us more to talk about.
So, now for my projections for 2012. I believe based upon my insight and my crunching of the numbers and my gut feelings several weeks ago Romney/Ryan will win the majority vote somewhere between 52% and 55% and will also have 300 plus in the Electorial College. Also Allen will win the Senate seat in Virginia and Mack will win in Florida.
I believe that the above will happen because the media has also discounted the Independents and the Conservative Democrats. Also because of the disdain for Obamacare and the problems with jobs and the economy. Not to mention Benghazi, Lybia.
